Nothing  is certain about the infant JAMES in this grave except that his father was named John HUTCHINSON and his mother was named Rose.

Probably the first child of William John Hutchinson and Rosella Gray Hutchinson (grandson of Stephen Sumner Hutchinson). Both John and Rosella died young and their two small daughters were sent to an aunt Julia Stone Hutchinson.

S. R. HUTCHINSON, Eighty-Niner Dead
Stephen Sumner Hutchinson, eighty-niner, who with others came here in the early days, contributed much in the development of Oklahoma, died at his home fourteen miles northwest of Oklahoma City, Saturday. Hutchinson was born and reared on a farm, near Biggsville, Illinois, being one of a family of four brothers, R. M. and W. J. now living in IL. The other brother A. P. having died in July. The deceased in 1871, married Miss Emma Mickey of Washington County, Iowa, where they resided for five years. The couple had moved back to Illinois, where they lived until 1889, when Mr. Hutchinson made the "run" in Oklahoma, securing a homestead fourteen miles northwest of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Hutchinson had nine sons and one daughter, five of the boys still live. They are R. M. Hutchinson, J. M. Hutchinson, B. W. Hutchinson, W. J. Hutchinson and M. H. Hutchinson. Mrs. Hutchinson died June 15 of this year. The deceased was a victim of an automobile accident on February 17, 1920, which caused paralysis. Mr. Hutchinson held a commission as United States Marshall in the 3rd federal district of Oklahoma territory, during Cleveland's administration. In his official duties he was fearless and conscientious in all matters entrusted to him. Hutchinson was a member of the Eight-Niner's society, and was active in its meetings.

    R. M. Hutchinson ... Britton Pioneer Dies at age 65.
    Son of former U.S. Marshal to be buried this afternoon
    Robert Miles Hutchinson, 65 year-old 1890er and former deputy U.S. Marshal, died Friday at his farm home northwest of Britton. He had been ill since suffering a paralytic stroke three years ago. Hutchinson was born Feb. 20, 1875 at Biggsville, IL.* At the time of the run his family homesteaded at the sight of the present farm home where Hutchinson had lived since,** except for a six year period spent at Snyder prior to 1915. Hutchinson served as deputy in 1892 and 1893 under his father, S. S. Hutchinson, United States Marshal, who died in 1920. He operated a cotton gin while at Snyder. He was a thirty-second degree Mason and a life member of the Britton Masonic lodge, a member of the Guthrie Consistory, a Shriner and a member of the India Temple in Oklahoma City. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Loretta Hutchinson; a son, Frank Hutchinson of Edmond, a daughter, Miss Alice Hutchinson of the home address and two brothers, J. M. Hutchinson of Oklahoma City and B. W. Hutchinson of Roosevelt. Services will be at 3:PM Saturday in the Me. Church at Britton. Burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery here with Masonic lodge #434 in charge. The Britton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    HOLLOWAY, Lorretta M. (Hutchie), 2533 NW 115th Place. Passed away at her home Tuesday April 15th. She was born November 16th, 1899 at Chapman, Kansas. Daughter of William & Annie Hannan. She moved to Oklahoma in 1911 and married Robert Miles Hutchinson. They moved to Oklahoma County on a farm homesteaded by the father of Robert Miles. She lived on the farm until 1974 when she moved to Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her first husband in 1941; in 1946 she married William Holloway who died in 1970. She is survived by 1 son Frank Hutchinson of Garland, Texas; 1 daughter Mrs. Franklin (Alice) McCollum of Oklahoma City; 2 brothers A. A. Hannan of Haviland Kansas & Joe Hannan of Manhattan, Kansas; 3 sisters Marie Eustic of Wakefield Kansas; Ruth Gaden & Nell James both of Manhattan, Kansas; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday in Sherman-Demuth Chapel with interment in Memorial Park.

He had been a farmer prior to his retirement four years ago. His only survivor is a son, Edward Miles Hutchinson, 400 W. Stewart, Britton, OK Services will be held at 2pm Wednesday in the Sherman Funeral Home in Britton and burial will be in the Edmond cemetery.
