MARGARET ELIZABETH LAY YOUNG (1919-1975).

Margaret Elizabeth Lay Young was the first of Lawrence and Berta B. Lay’s five children. She received a bachelor’s degree from Central State University. In 1937 she married Robert Franklin Young; they had four children. She was very involved with her children’s school activities through their high school years. She had an ongoing drive to learn new things, and she was intrigued by self-awareness and self-improvement concepts. She was always active in her church, and she pursued her love of music throughout her life. Her premature death at age 56 was brought about by a congenital heart problem.

YOUNG Nillie Mae, Oklahoma City, died Tuesday at Deaconess Hospital. She was born February 18, 1897 in Oklahoma County where she had lived most of her life. She is survived by 1 son Robert Young of Oklahoma City; 1 daughter Dorothy McCarron of Miami, Florida; 1 brother Arthur Olson of Edmond; 17 grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren. Services will be 2 P.M. Thursday in Demuth-Garrison & Sherman Chapel with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.

THOMPSON Lillian Beatrice, 65, of 1301 SW 33. She passed away Wednesday at University Hospital. Services are 2 P.M. Friday in the Little Chapel of The Roses at Resthaven Memory Garden. Directed by Capitol Hill Funeral Home. Mrs. Thompson was born in Edmond, Oklahoma and moved to Oklahoma City in 1943 from Cushing. She was a member of the Indiana Avenue Christian Church. Survivors include her husband Worth, of the home, a son, her mother Mrs. Nellie Mae Young of Oklahoma City, 2 brothers, & a sister. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren.

THOMPSON Worth M., age 82, (Dad), died September 16, 1994 in OKC. He was born November 6, 1911 in a covered wagon in Tupelo, Ok. on the way to Van Buren, Ark. The last of seventeen children to be born and the last to leave this earth. After the passing of his faithful wife of 44 years in 1980, he trusted in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Worth was a retired fireman from the Oklahoma City Fire Department, and spent those thirty years hunting and fishing until his death. He was preceded in death by hi s wife, Lillian B. Thompson and son, Jimmie Dale Thompson. Survivors include 1 son; granddaughter; grandson; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 1994 at the South Colonial Chapel.
