- Curtis Nicholson was born September 14, 1885, in Sewal, Wayne Co, Iowa, the youngest of ten children born to James Alexander Nicholson and the youngest child of Margaret Peaster Schultz Nicholson. He eloped with 15 year old Cassie Estes on November 11, 1903.
They were married in Britton, Oklahoma. They had six children. Curtis then married, May Dixon Lawson, on 30 March 1939. She died in June 1972 and
is buried in Bethany Cemetery (Oklahoma). Curtis died September 13, 1977 at Blackwell, Oklahoma. He is buried here next to his father James Alexander Nicholson
and his mother Margaret Peister Nicholson.
