OBITUARY: 28 November 2004:

HARRY BENONIA STICKLER died Wednesday, November 24, 2004, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, after losing a short and courageous battle against cancer. Harry was born September 26, 1928, in Liberal, Kansas to Roy G. Stickler, Sr. and Nile (Carson) Stickler. He was welcomed into the family by his older brother. Harry grew up on farms near Turpin, Oklahoma and lived there most of his life. He married on February 4, 1951. They lived on a farm near Turpin most of their married life, raising their four children there. He farmed, operated Stickler Dairy, and later ran Diamond S Feeders, at their ranch in Turpin. In 1991, the Sticklers relocated to Wynnewood, Oklahoma, to operate Stickler Premium Ostriches for several years. He also owned an ostrich ranch in Africa and quarantine stations in the U.S. Harry Stickler was an accomplished farmer, cattleman, entrepreneur, and a faithful member of the Wynnewood Church of Christ. He was a devoted, faithful, gentle, loving Husband, Dad, and Grandpa, who treasured his family above everything else. He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, 2 sons, two adopted sons; eleven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren; one brother; his Mother in law; one Brother in law, many other loving family members and a host of friends. He inspired anyone who knew him with his encouraging words and sense of humor. The Stickler family would like to express our sincere gratitude for the many who faithfully reached out to our Dad during his illness. Memorials may be made to his adopted son's college funds by contacting Landmark Bank in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.

Harry was the 2nd great-grandson of Olive Hand Bailey. The genealogy here lists only generations back to Olive Hand Bailey. Olive Hand Bailey's (and therefore the Stickler family) roots can be traced back to Robert the Bruce of Scotland.

OBITUARY: 10 November 2014:

Patricia Jo Stickler unexpectedly died Saturday, November 8, 2014 in OKC following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Patti was born December 5, 1932, in Liberal, KS to Roy and Mary Martz. She grew up in Liberal, KS. She married Harry Stickler on February 4, 1951. They lived on a farm near Turpin, OK most of their married life, raising their four children there. She and Harry farmed, operated Stickler Dairy, and later ran Diamond S Feeders, at their farm in Turpin. Patti was active in 4-H, coaching numerous students in public speaking, and served as head cook for the boiling Springs Church Camp for over 40 years. In 1990, the Sticklers relocated to Wynnewood, OK, to operate Stickler Premium Ostriches for several years. She and Harry also owned an ostrich ranch in Africa and quarantine stations in the U.S. Patti Stickler was and accomplished speaker, entrepreneur, and a faithful member of the 4th and Grant Church of Christ in Liberal, KS and recently, the Wynnewood Church of Christ. She was a devoted, faithful, gentle, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who treasured her family above everything else. She is survived by her mother, Mary Martz, of Liberal, KS; four children; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one brother; a brother-in-law and many other loving family members and a host of friends. She inspired anyone who knew her with her encouraging words and sense of humor. The Stickler family would like to express our sincere gratitude for the many who faithfully reached out to our Mother during her illness. Our special thanks to her caregivers, Madge, Lucille, Billie and Tammy. Services to celebrate her life will be 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Buchanan Funeral Service Chapel followed by interment at Olive Hill Cemetery on N. Rockwell Ave. in OKC

ERYN PRESLEY SANDERS was born on May 21, 1999 and went to play with the Angels on April 30, 2002. She was a very brave little girl and fought hard. She was the whole family’s little angel. She gave joy to everyone she came in contact with. She is survived by her parents Kasi Jo Cavin, Joseph Littleton and Michael Sanders; her grandparents, Les & Kathy Faulkner and Marilyn Hammond; brothers, Harlan, Charles, Michael, Zane and Preston; great-grandparents, Harry & Patti Stickler and her great-greatgrandma Mary Martz. She is also survived by 3 aunts, Lenora Driskell, Rhoda Michelle Egbert, and Leslie Faulkner, and 1 uncle Robert Faulkner; and many other relatives. Now she is sheltered in the arms of God.

Eryn was the 5th great-granddaughter of Olive Hand Bailey. The genealogy here lists only 8 generations back to Olive Hand Bailey. Olive Hand Bailey's (and therefore the Sanders family) roots can be traced back to Robert the Bruce.
